Government of India, Ministry of Tribal Affairs has released the notification for the National Overseas Scholarship Scheme (NOS) for Scheduled Tribe (ST) Candidates for the selection year 2025-26. This scholarship is provided to eligible ST candidates who want to pursue higher education abroad (Master's, Ph.D., and Post-Doctoral Research). Any candidate who is interested in this scheme can apply online between 15 May 2025 to 30 June 2025.

Eligibility & Age Limit Criteria
To apply for the NOS Scheme, candidates must fulfill the following criteria:
| Eligible Courses | Maximum Age Limit (As on 01/07 of Selection Year) | Educational Qualification & Minimum Marks |
| Master's Degree | 32 Years | Bachelor's Degree with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade. |
| Ph.D. Programme | 35 Years | Master's Degree with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade. |
| Post-Doctoral Research | 38 Years | Ph.D. Degree with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade. |
Note: The 55% marks criteria will not apply if the candidate has already secured unconditional admission into the top 1,000 QS World Ranking Universities.
Income & Other Criteria

Family Income: Total family income from all sources must not exceed โน6,00,000/- (6 Lakhs) per annum.

Family Restricton: Only one child of the same parents is eligible to avail of this scholarship.
Scholarship Benefits / Financial Assistance
Selected candidates will receive the following financial support:

Full Tuition Fees as charged by the foreign institution.

Annual Maintenance Allowance: USD 15,400 (or GBP 9,900 for the UK).

Contingency Allowance: USD 1,532 (or GBP 1,116 for the UK).

Visa Fees, Medical Insurance Premium, Air Travel Cost (Economy Class), and Incidental Journey Expenses.
